These are a few videos from the general public of bad traffic behaviour around horses. This 'evidence' is from helmet cams of British riders on UK roads, not New Zealand riders on NZ roads, but I feel it still shows how unaware drivers can be around horses on roads and the terrible behaviour shown is behaviour that I have personally experienced a lot while out riding on roads here. It is proving very difficult to source any video evidence from New Zealand and I wonder if the prevalence of videos from the UK is because the British Horse Society is currently campaigning for safer roads for riders and so the general public are getting behind them and providing videos of bad behaviour from their rides. Whereas helmet cams are used far less in New Zealand so people are more likely to be able to tell you stories of the disrespectful/uneducated drivers they have encountered, but not actually have footage of these encounters - or perhaps those who might have footage haven't shared it on public platforms.
