Week 11: Reflection On Conversations

Last weekend I finished writing my proposal and laying it out on InDesign which makes me feel a lot less stressed about the whole thing. This will allow me to dedicate this weekend to furthering my own design work for in my proposal which I am happy about as I have not had time to focus on that aspect of my project since the super crit. This week I have been trying to share my proposal with as many people as possible to get as much feedback as I can, in the hopes of improving my writing to a high level. So far I have shared it with; lots of peers (I get them on board with reading my near 5000 word document by suggesting a swap-meet where we read each others proposals!), my mum, dad, and sister, and I also returned to see Martha at the Centre for Teaching and Learning. So far no one has suggested any areas that need to be condensed (where I waffle), or where it needs to be expanded on (because it doesn't make sense). Survey Results

I received lots and lots of great feedback on my survey posts on Facebook - this is just a small sample: Survey Results I had 910 responses to my survey! People participated in my survey from all regions in New Zealand, which gives my data a fantastic spread and also shows how the issue of equine road user safety is felt all over the country. I found that most people use the road for; recreation, exercise, to get somewhere, because they have no where else to ride etc. In a result which clearly shows that my topic is an issue in New Zealand, the average rating out of 5 for how serious of an issue did the respondent think equine road safety is was 4.48! This is a fantastic piece of data to use in my proposal to help highlight the issue.
