Proposal Writing Lecture & Workshop
Lecture Notes:
- Explain how the literature and precedent material has informed your design enquiry and how your own processes have developed the project from initial idea to this point
- Without something to talk about and show you don’t have a proposal - all you have is a background to a topic
- (Bring the name into the methodology!)
- Make sure everything you mention in your introduction is actually used/expanded on throughout the proposal
- End with a clear plan for achieving aims and how your methods will get you there
- Your methodology accounts for the method you are using
- Own everything that you have done! e.g. I conducted a survey
- Make every sentence count - no waffle!
- Avoid: might, could, perhaps
- Avoid repetition of ideas
- Use lots of images! SHOW us everything you have done and what you are referring to
