It does not clearly illustrate the desired behaviour and the information is quite ambiguous, such as "slow down" and "pass wide" - people who do not know horses need to be told exact speeds and distances or else they will put themselves, horses and riders at risk. It is also not very appealing design wise. |

This explains the key road rules that may be different in New Zealand to the visitor's origin country, such as driving on the left hand side of the road, wearing a seatbelt, no using a cellphone etc. It does not have any information about the driving etiquette when encountering an equine road user. |
