Week 3 Advisor Session

Advisor Session With Tanya

  • Could it be location based, cafes, bars etc?? Places people would go in rural areas
  • Could things be drawn on the road, could the road markings be hoof prints etc
  • Look at the early Simons Cat Comics for inspiration
  • Could I do something at service stations - coffee cups etc?
  • Try making the horses cuter, younger, smaller etc - it might make people want to protect them/nurture them more. Horses normally intimidate people, how can I make people think they are vulnerable? Maybe surround the horse with cars? Make people see the horse is at risk
  • Look at campaigns that tap into the nurture side - SPCA etc
  • Try and get the viewer to put themselves in that situation
  • Personify the horse as another object - lightening, candy floss etc to metaphorically show how vulnerable or reactive it is
  • It could be a game - spin the wheel and get different ponies?

Ideation

  • Things you could look at on petrol pumps while you fill up your car? How can you impact people when they're not looking for it? Where might the audience be?
  • Rider on a stick of dynamite, bubbles etc
  • Horse wrapped in bubble wrap, with helmet on, in padding etc to highlight how horses have no protection
